Petition for scheduling Rosebank Trees
12 June 2010

Both the Oak and the Pohutukawa on the development site at 317 - 321 Rosebank Road, Avondale, have been put forward by the Avondale Community Board for scheduling as notable trees, which if successful would give both of them longer term protection.  Auckland City Council have told us that to strengthen the case for scheduling it would be good to know what community/popular support there is for protecting these trees.

Petition
Local residents, Avondale Community Gardeners and The Tree Council have put together a petition which is being circulated around Avondale and supportive groups.

Please print out and get a few signatures and return to The Tree Council via thetreecouncil@ihug.co.nz before 21 June or send directly to:  Craig Bishop, Senior Environmental Analyst, Auckland City Council, Private Bag 92516, Wellesley Street, Auckland or to craig.bishop@aucklandcity.govt.nz.

Comments
It would also very much help if you had any comments to make, memories, background information etc., even if just a couple of lines, to send them via email to thetreecouncil@ihug.co.nz and we will collate and send through to Craig Bishop by the 21st June.

Thank you very much.
