Waitakere City Council's response to new tree protection legislation

Waitakere City Council's planning and regulatory committee votes (10th November 2009) for a programme of scheduling trees, and asking the Environment Court for a declaratory judgement on the interpretation of the wording of the RMA's new restrictions on urban tree protection. See report here. Recommendations in the report were agreed to.
Waitakere City Council asks the public to nominate trees for scheduling. Deadline end February 2010. See media release and Facts and Questions sheet.
