The Tree Council is a long-standing non-profit organisation established in 1986 to act as a steward for the trees of the Auckland region. The Tree Council exists to protect, conserve and improve the tree cover in the Auckland region, especially in urban areas.

Tree Week 2020
Tree Week will take place from 3 to 11 October 2020 and Covid19 permitting we have some exciting events planned for you, which will also be part of the Auckland Heritage Festival.
The Tree Council’s Guided Walk of Smith’s Bush
Our annual guided tree walk will be in Smith’s Bush, Northcote on Saturday 3 October from 10am – 12pm with tree expert Penny Cliffin. This event will take place in alert levels 1 or 2 (providing that gatherings of 50 are permitted) but will have strict limits on numbers. You MUST book and pay for your place in advance here:
